All Damage Types & Ammo Mods in MW3 Zombies

There are five different Ammo Mods in Zombies, each with its own special effects. They can be applied to weapons alongside the Pack-a-Punch upgrades, but only one at a time. Here are all Ammo Mods in the game:

  • Brain Rot – Applies toxic damage to weapon and causes zombies to become temporary allies.
  • Cryo Freeze – Applies freeze damage to weapon and can either slow down or completely freeze enemies.
  • Dead Wire – Applies electric damage and will stun zombies in place.
  • Napalm Burst – Applies fire damage and can light enemies on fire with lingering damage from burns.
  • Shatter Blast – Applies explosive damage and creates mini-explosions on enemies when hit, which can hurt other enemies nearby.

How to Get Ammo Mods in MW3 Zombies

There are a few ways to get Ammo Mods in the Modern Warfare 3 Zombies mode. The first involves completing contracts and opening loot caches within the game.

Completing a contract creates a reward portal that may contain an Ammo Mod, while opening random loot caches in Urzikstan may also contain one of the damage types. Players would have a better chance at getting them by clearing out Aether Nests and Infested Strongholds.

The other method is to craft Ammo Mods before starting a game. However, these will require schematics earned randomly by completing contracts. Once acquired, players can craft an Ammo Mod to bring into a game, but there will be a timed cooldown before that specific mod can be crafted again.
