All Changes Introduced in Final Fantasy XIV 7.0 Dawntrail Expansion

Warriors of Light are definitely not getting bored in this update. Pre-existing systems will be expanded upon while new features are added. We’ll list them all below.

New Main Story Quests

Following the conclusion of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark Saga, Warriors of Light will now take their first steps into the New World continent, located at the previously unvisited western seas. The Scions of Seventh Dawn are involved in the Rite of Succession for the Tural throne, and this might bring some catastrophic consequences to some of them.

New Level Cap

The general level will now be expanded to 100! All classes and jobs (with the exception of limited ones) will break their limits even further, meaning even more skills and abilities to deal with!

New Jobs

While they’re still unnamed, game director Naoki Yoshida announced two new DPS jobs. These will be a new Melee DPS and a Caster DPS. Yoshida is known for teasing the new job through his t-shirt, and the man was wearing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt of all things! What the hell does that mean?! Tanky ninja incoming. Maybe.

New Duties

As expected, tons of new Dungeons, Raids (including Ultimate), and Trials will be here. The new Alliance Raid, in specific, was mentioned to be very Final Fantasy-like, so they already have my interest. Deep Dungeons were also mentioned, so we might see a new addition to them like we just did with Eureka Orthos, or maybe some system updates to them. Speaking of which…

System Updates

We will now be able to dye our Gear with two different colors! This was a highly requested feature, and it will be applied to some housing items too. Not all of the items will have this option introduced at once, but they will all be dual-dyable eventually.

While still in the fashion talk, Glasses are now a thing. You can wear them alongside hats and they work similarly to Fashion Accessories, so they won’t be taking any extra space in your inventory.

A new raiding tool is being added to help players with in-game diagrams, much like the popularly used Toolbox external sites. This makes coordinating raids easier than ever.

Expanded Free Trial

Have You Heard Of The Critically Acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV Which Has a Free Trial? Well, that Trial is now expanding all the way into Stormblood! Starting from patch 6.5x, players can now experience the whole game up to Level 70 without buying it, which implies that tons of new content (like more Raids, Eureka and the Red Mage, and Samurai Jobs) are now available to them.

New System Requirements

The game will be undergoing various graphical updates during 7.0, which means that some older PCs won’t be able to handle it as well as they did.  The new system requirements were dropped during the panels. Fortunately, PS4 support will still be there.

Graphics Update

And of course, the most important news might just be the huge Graphical Updates introduced in this expansion. Older textures are now being replaced with brand new ones, giving a refreshing view on some of the older, uglier models without making them lose that essence that makes them unique. It goes from gear pieces to characters and, of course, the various zones you visit. Above are some comparisons.

There’s a lot to look forward to in the new expansion. Have you seen the Dawtrail reveal trailer yet? Take a look at what’s expected in this new chapter of Final Fantasy XIV.
