Unlike Night Springs, The Lake House takes us back to the survival horror tone of the base game, and there is a lot to explore. Early on in The Lake House, players can access Dr. Jules Marmont’s computer to snoop on his emails, but it’s locked behind a password. Worry not, as we’ll walk you through what it is, and how to get it.

If you don’t want to look through the hints, the password for Dr. Jules Marmont is 071838 or 180738, both work.

It seems that Remedy has taken into consideration the multiple ways dates can be written, so the first part of the password, which is a date, can be written in two ways.

If you’re wondering why this is the password, we’ll explain below. According to the memo, Lake House staff are required to change their passwords daily, so naturally, people would use the different materials in the room to make something up. Don’t question the video game logic, this is just how it works.

First Hint

The first part of the password is either 0718, or 1807. Both of these refer to the date, July 18, which is when the Lake House facility was completed. So the 18th date of the seventh month. This date can be found on the “Notice of Appointment” in Dr. Jules Marmont’s office.

Second Hint

The second part of the password is 38. This refers to the age of Hedy Lamarr, which is written on the “Science Fact of the Day” on Dr. Marmont’s desk.

So, combining the first and second hints results in either 071838 or 180738, which will unlock the PC. Unlocking the PC will allow you to read the emails of Dr. Jules Marmont, and open the security door, which is pretty handy.
