Getting your money's worth.

Unlike the previous games, Ninja Gaiden 4 is a bit light on customization items, and most of the content is available in the deluxe edition. This includes a few skins for both characters and a bunch of consumables and currency to make your early hours a bit easier.

Here is how you can access the deluxe edition content, including the skins and everything else in Ninja Gaiden 4.

Access Deluxe Edition Content in Ninja Gaiden 4

After you finish the initial tutorial area, you’ll be dropped into the first main mission section of Tokyo. During this mission, you’ll eventually come across the DarkNest Terminal.

  • This allows you to talk to Umi, buy items, accept or turn in missions, and “receive content”, which is what is relevant to the deluxe edition content.
  • Select the “Receive Content” option in the terminal and check each available option.

This will add the deluxe edition items to your inventory:

  • Traditional Dark Blue and Legendary Black Falcon Ryu Skins
  • Blade of the Archfiend Ryu Weapon Skin
  • Divine Chimera and Raven Master Yakumo Skins
  • Divine Chimera Yakumo Weapon Set
  • 50,000 Bonus NinjaCoin
  • Life Elixer x5
  • Divine Life Elixer x3
  • Crimson Blood Pellets x2
  • Senjin War Brew x2
  • Kongou Iron Brew x2
  • Incense of Rebirth x1

Those 50,000 NinjaCoin come in real handy because you can unlock a ton of combat moves using them early on, that you’d otherwise unlock a bit later, and after taking on a few side missions. Don’t waste them on items because you’re getting plenty anyway.

If you already have the maximum amount of any of those resources, you’ll get the equivalent NinjaCoin for them instead.

How to Change Appearance in Ninja Gaiden 4

To equip different costumes for either Yakumo or Ryu and apply different skins to your weapons, you need to pause the game, access the equipment tab, and select “Appearance” within that screen. It’s the button at the bottom left.

Yakumo Deluxe Edition Outfits Showcase

Here is what the Deluxe Edition outfits for Yakumo look like in-game.

Divine Chimera

Raven Master

I’m assuming future Ninja Gaiden 4 content will be accessible from the same DarkNest Terminals as well as the pre-order bonus outfit for Yakumo.
