The game is brimming with content, and here are some of the best tips and tricks you can follow to help you get started in your island adventure.

Best Tips and Tricks to Starsand Island

  • Always finish your daily tasks for Starsand Points. These are your main currencies for progressing.
  • You don’t have to fully water the plots all the time. It’s one way to conserve stamina when you don’t have the sprinklers yet.
  • Build multiple Furnaces. You’ll need several of them once you get more ores.
  • Pay attention to the type of seeds you grow. Some only grow in planter boxes, farmland, or Trellises.
  • Falling out of bounds in the Moonlit Forest doesn’t advance the day. You just spawn near where you fell off.
  • Random animals roam around the island and sometimes lead you to treasure.
  • You can completely ignore the rabbits in the early sections of the Moonlit Forest.
  • If your character gets stuck, there’s an unstuck button in the main menu. However, the day will progress once you do this.
  • Gmax mutations removed the tilled soil when it grows.
  • You have to use a hatchet to harvest Gmax crops.
  • The game autosaves at the start of each day.
  • There are so many crafting or equipment benches in the game. It is best to keep them all close together for easier access. Aesthetically, you can rearrange when you are rich, happy, and simply decorating already.
  • There are claimable rewards for each milestone in your Islandpedia. Progress your collection to get them.
  • There are random chests that spawn around the island, including the Moonlit Forest. You can even find blueprints here.
  • Check your mailbox for mail. You can get event reminders from the mailbox, as well as random gifts and rewards from islanders.
  • Rush towards unlocking the sprinklers for some quality-of-life farming.
  • Don’t just focus on spending your Starsand Points on a single activity, like farming. You’ll get locked anyway through other unlockables through other mentors, like crafting.
  • Play around with all the activities. Even bug catching will be needed to progress.
  • Chat with the islanders every day to improve relationships.
  • Skateboards are a bit overrated. Sometimes just running is enough to get around.
  • Slingshots can use other minerals or ores as ammo. However, you don’t want to use them all the time. Just in emergency situations when you are too lazy to go back and forth.
  • There’s a blueprint system in the game where you can copy and paste layouts, as long as you have the materials required.
  • Use Flourite to repair camps in Moonlit Forest. They are everywhere here.
  • Plants get watered for free on rainy days, but animals take a break from clearing out weeds, so there are still things to tend to.
  • Crops planted out of season will wither immediately as soon as the season ends. Be careful about the timing, especially since weeds stall the crops’ progress randomly when not tended to immediately.
  • You can strike the crops with an axe instead of manually harvesting them by pressing the interact key. It is faster this way and doesn’t consume energy. It also removes weeds while harvesting crops.
  • Resources respawn every 8 pm in the Moonlit Forest.
  • farm plots near rabbit hutches, so they can clear the weeds out more quickly.
  • Add multiple rabbit hutches as your farm expands. Need to get those weeds out quickly so your crops all grow at the same time.
  • You recover 1 stamina per second in the hot springs. They are more efficient than eating for stamina, especially early in the game.
  • Buy the Hot Spring Ticket from a vending machine or the general store. Just go to the hot springs and interact with them, and it should automatically use a Hot Spring Ticket. The hot springs are in Maple Reed, close to Waverin’s Home.
  • Primorite needs something better than an Impulsive Pickaxe.
