There is a simple test to see whether Sniper Elite 3 is for you. It’s broad daylight in the desert, but you’re lying – undetected – on a low cliff, watching Nazis patrol an encampment below. You’ve been watching them for some time through your binoculars, tagging them off and working out which ones to […]
Confession time: I thought Grid 2 was alright. That’s not really an admission on the level of “I killed a guy back in ‘73” or anything, but some people really didn’t enjoy that game and may now question my judgment. That’s okay. Their antipathy is understandable. Anybody hoping for another simulation-tinged Codemasters racer would’ve found […]
Lifeline is the second add-on released for Undead Lab’s State of Decay, and takes the zombie-dodging fun out on the road for the first time. While prior DLC release Breakdown made use of the original game’s map for some endless survival mode antics, Lifeline furthers the State of Decay story in the over-run city of […]
Prior to the release of the original Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, I was concerned whether NeoCore could break into the well-heeled world of aRPGs. Regular readers will know that Tim is our horror game guy, mainly because he’s not good with horror and it makes us laugh. This time it’s down to me to get scared because Tim is busy with other games. That’s what he told me anyway. So to DreadOut, the first full title from Indonesian based […]

From Portal’s scripted jibes there’s a line of progression to more flexible disembodied voices of wisdom like Rucks from Bastion. Lately though, only Call of Juarez: Gunslinger has […]
The consensus on where Dark Souls 2 sits in the Souls lineage is not going to be established by this review. Nor by any others that are published today in relation to the PC version of this game. That will only come as secrets, story and revelations are gradually unpicked and debated over the coming […]
The concluding part of BioShock Infinite’s Burial at Sea DLC is more than just a finale for this title. 2K’s decision to close Irrational Games means it’s also the studio’s swan song. And while many will rightly remember Irrational for 1999’s outstanding System Shock 2, BioShock is the series name that will remain on the […]
One simple question: do you want to play through a really lengthy episode of South Park? Yes? Then you’ll really, really like South Park: The Stick of Truth. Bear that in mind, because that really is the crux of whether or not you’ll enjoy this game. If you hate South Park, you should stay well […]
The Thief name is no longer a Garrett-ee of quality.
