Millions of people from all over the world play Fortnite, and for good reason. Epic Games’ intense third person shooter is one of the most addictive video games of all time, rivaling classics like Tetris and Candy Crush Saga. Gamers even watch other people play Fortnite, with (at its peak), 660,000 viewers tuning in to watch Tyler “Ninja” Blevins’ first and perhaps annual Ninja Vegas 18 event this past weekend. That said, there are tons of Fortnite searches per day, and one of the most unusual is Fortnite Unblocked. We scratch our heads every time we see this, because it doesn’t appear to be related to anything in the game itself, like Taco Shop locations, or the Moisty Mire treasure map.
We did a little investigating, and here’s what we came up with.
What is Fortnite Unblocked?
First, what is Fortnite Unblocked, and why do people want to play it? Our best guess is that it has something to do with people attempting to play the game on a restricted network, specifically while on college campuses where students and guests might have problems downloading the game to a PC, either in their dorms or a computer lab.
Should You Play Fortnite Unblocked?
What is a gamer and addicted Fortnite player to do? There appears to be a website or two that allow people to play video games through their browser of choice via Flash. We’ve also seen a tutorial at one specific campus where someone lists the steps necessary to play Fortnite despite being on a restricted network.
Since we don’t know the legality of doing such things, or whether or not they work, we will not link to any of these websites and videos, nor do we encourage playing Fortnite Unblocked, as doing so may damage your computer. You should instead play the real Fortnite Battle Royale from Epic Games for free by downloading it to your PC, Xbox One, PS4, or smartphone. That said, hopefully this at the very least tells you what Fortnite Unblocked is, and why so many people seem to be searching for it.
