The companies have teamed up to introduce a new platforming game for various platforms titled The Smurfs 2.  In the game you’ll guide a number of Smurfy smurfs including Papa, Grouchy, Vanity and others, across dangerous territory while they keep one step ahead of Gargamel and his vicious new anti+-Smurfs.  It’s all in good fun, and with Mighty Switch Force and DuckTales developer WayForward behind behind it, you can expect a game that won’t leave you *ahem* blue.

The game is due this July for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, the original Wii and Wii U, and will also get a shot on the DS in the form of an “interactive storytelling book and collection of mini-games”.  We’ll get a closer look at the game in the months ahead.

Meanwhile, head on over and get smurfy with the debut trailer because you can’t get enough of Smurfette.
