In the gameplay footage, we see Jin Sakai, a noble samurai making his way across the Otsuna Grasslands on the ninth day of the Mongol invasion. As he walks through the forest with his horse, Nobu, he notices civilians being attacked by Mongols. Check out the Ghost of Tsushima gameplay debut in the trailer below.

For the first time, we get to see Ghost of Tushima’s visceral combat. With a few swift moves, the samurai dispatches his enemies. He then meets up with an old friend who tells him a monk is being interrogated. The samurai agrees to free him. At this point it is revealed your character has the capacity to traverse the open world landscape with an array of tools. When he kills the interrogators, it is revealed that the samurai’s friend used you to get to the monk who betrayed her and her family. A fight between friends ensues.

Beautiful red leaves cover the ground and pass between the legs of the warriors in combat as the setting sun blazes in the background. The Mongol reinforcements approach and they shoot fire arrows at the two warriors. Walls of flame rise around them. The samurai informs his friend that the Mongols are the true enemy, and as the soldiers approach, they both turn to fight them.

No release date has been announced just yet for Ghost of Tsushima. We’ll be sure to update you here with more Ghost of Tsushima details as they are announced.
