GamesCom is definitely providing a lot of great content through the game companies that are there, and among them is Ubisoft, who have been having a field day with new footage and information.  And they’ve struck again this morning, with ten minutes of their upcoming Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist now available to view here.

In this game, Sam Fisher returns, taking on a new terrorist faction and getting to the bottom of an all-new conspiracy.  As you can see, he’s got plenty of nifty moves for taking out the opposition, including stealth, on-the-run gunplay and, of course, gadgets.

Still, we can’t quite get over the fact that Nolan North has taken over voiceover for the character, instead of the traditional Michael Ironside.  Maybe Ubisoft will fill us in on why they made such a decision in a future interview.

For now, though, this gameplay does look promising, even if it does lean more towards the action level than previous Splinter Cell games – but not unlike Conviction.  You can check out the entire piece of footage below, and get ready for Blacklist when it hits store shelves for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in 2013.
