When the Xbox One launched late last year, it was a pretty awesome thing, although one of its noteworthy features – live game streaming – was conspicuously missing. However, that problem is about to be remedied.

Twitch Broadcasting and Microsoft announced today that live streaming will come to Xbox One next month. The service is set to go live with a new Xbox One update that will upload on March 11th – the same day that EA’s epic first-person multiplayer opus Titanfall hits stores.

The service will add the ability to live stream games, as well as join games with broadcasters and use voice commands to set up game broadcasts and clips, which can later be viewed however the user pleases. Additional content includes Achievements for spectating games and the ability to create private parties for voice chat outside of the broadcast.

“It’s complete integration,” said Twitch CEO Emmett Shear. “It’s exciting because we’ve never had the ability to broadcast from a console like this with such a deep level of integration. The concept of being able to join a broadcasters’ party is really cool, and it’s another step in the direction of interacting more closely with broadcasters.”
