Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Next DLC Character could be SNK Fighter - Prima Games

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Next DLC Character could be SNK Fighter

by Nicholas Barth

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launched with the most extensive roster of characters the popular Nintendo fighting game franchise has ever seen. However, this massive roster has not stopped Nintendo from adding a variety of new characters to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate following its release. The Hero, Joker, and Piranha Plant are three DLC characters who have already been added to the high-profile title with Banjo-Kazooie set to become a playable fighter in the future. Now, one community member may have discovered which franchise the next DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will hail from.

According to a report by AllGamers, Super Smash Bros community member PushDustIn was able to grab a screenshot of Challenger Pack 4 from Nintendo’s Website. This screenshot showed off a copyright notice for well-known fighting game developer SNK. This copyright notice has since led to plenty of speculation in the Super Smash Bros community that a character from an SNK game will be one of the next DLC Characters to join the roster of Nintendo’s title.

However, as with any piece of unconfirmed information, the idea of an SNK character joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate should be taken with a grain of salt until an official channel confirms it.

It is hard to argue though that an SNK copyright notice on the official Nintendo Website for Challenger Pack 4 does not heavily suggest that a fighter from the company’s various franchises could be making an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the future.
