It’s Sonic the Hedgehog’s 25th anniversary this year, a wonderful earmark for a great character – but why doesn’t he have a new game to celebrate? Not to worry, as one is on the way. Famitsu has confirmed that Sonic Team is hard at work on a new Sonic the Hedgehog game. No other details are available at this time, sadly, but with San Diego Comic-Con coming up next month – and the ‘Hog always having big presence at the event – we should know more very soon.

We’re crossing our fingers for a sequel to Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed or, dare to dream, Sonic Generations. It’d certainly make a fitting anniversary present.
