At the time of writing, the price reduction has reached Steam, Xbox One and Series S|X, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Nintendo storefronts, while the Epic Games Store version remains listed at $70. That’ll likely be updated shortly as well.

The Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are also now priced the same. However, the Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade pack remains priced at $10, so buying the original Switch version and the upgrade pack separately would cost $50, more than the $40 Switch 2 edition. Make sure you’re not getting that upgrade pack and are using the correct and updated store link.

Regional pricing also applies on Steam, so it’ll appear a bit cheaper in certain regions.

This price cut is likely tied to the upcoming release of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Year One Edition, which went up for pre-order ahead of its official announcement.

On its store listing, the Year One Edition includes the following content:

  • Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
  • Season Pass One – 6 premium DLC Packs, which include guest characters, vehicles, courses, emotes, and more from some of your favorite pop culture franchises.
  • Sonic Prime Pack
  • 35th Anniversary Logo Patch

The six premium packs are a nice bonus, bringing together a substantial amount of DLC released for the game so far in one package. Since Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds continues to receive new content, the price cut makes sense and should make the game more accessible to new players.
