If you’re eager to hop into the action before the official release, you can by spending a bit more. Here’s how to play Sonic Racing CrossWorlds early.

Play Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Three Days Early

If you pre-order the digital deluxe edition of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, you’ll be able to play the racing title three days early, starting from September 22, 2025.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Digital Deluxe Edition

Even though the digital deluxe edition of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds lets you play early, it’s also $20 more than the base game, which already costs $70. So the $90 edition gives you advanced access and the following bonus content:

  • Base game
  • Season Pass:
    • Sonic Prime Character Pack: Rusty Rose, Tails Nine, Knuckles the Dread (Available at launch)
    • 6 DLC Packs, which include guest characters, vehicles, tracks, emotes, and more from some of your favorite pop culture franchises.

All the content available in this bundle will also be sold separately and released throughout the following 12 months after launch.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Pre-Order Bonus

If you pre-order any edition of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, you will receive the playable character Werehog, the Werehog vehicle “Beast Spike“, and the Werehog Decal.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Release Date

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PS4, Nintendo Switch 2, and the PS5 on September 25, 2025.

Personally, I don’t think spending $20 extra just for the early access is worth it, especially when you’re only getting three days of early access. This isn’t some major narrative game where playing early has some major benefit, and honestly, you might find more people to play with on its regular launch.

If you’re really interested in the Season Pass, then it doesn’t seem like a bad deal. Though that brings the price right up to $90, which is even more than what Mario Kart World costs.
