Silent Hill f Gets Free Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Costume DLC
Time for a replay.
Silent Hill f successfully revived the franchise thanks to its new setting, absorbing horror adventure, and fantastic protagonist. Now, Konami and KOEI TECMO have teamed up for another collaboration DLC, giving Silent Hill f players an outfit inspired by FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE.
Silent Hill f Gets the Crimson Butterfly Outfit
As part of update 1.20, the Crimson Butterfly Outfit, inspired by Mio Amakura from FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE, is now available for Shimizu Hinako at no additional cost.

This is Mio’s default outfit in the remake and has been recreated with impressive attention to detail. To equip the costume, either start a New Game from the main menu or select the Change Costume option while resting at a Hokora.
KONAMI has also shared a dedicated trailer showcasing the outfit:
Here are a few additional screenshots of the costume in action:

Earlier this year, KONAMI and KOEI TECMO also collaborated on a Silent Hill f-themed costume pack for FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE. The DLC included Hinako’s outfit for Mio, along with the Fox Mask accessory from Silent Hill f.

On Steam, you can purchase both titles at a discounted price through a dedicated bundle. The games are also currently on sale as part of the Steam Summer Sale. Silent Hill f is 50% off while Fatal Frame 2: Remake is 25% off at the moment, and the bundle further brings the price down if you own either.
If either free DLC pack doesn’t appear automatically in your game, you can manually add it to your library using the links below:

Silent Hill f is a clear hit for Konami, reaching two million sales as of April 2026 and very positive scores from critics and fans alike. It’s a new direction for the franchise that resonated with new and returning fans thanks to an original story and an entirely new setting as well.
It’s great to see both companies celebrating their releases through a crossover like this. The fact that both DLC packs are completely free makes the collaboration feel like a genuine treat for fans rather than an attempt to monetize the crossover. I hope that we continue seeing more collaborations between the studios for more outfits and potential gameplay crossovers as well.
