With Devolver Digital recently announcing the return of the first-person shooter game Shadow Warrior, it’s curious to see that there are some of you who never got around to playing the original game. Now you’ve got your chance, and it won’t set you back a dime.
Devolver Digital has announced that the original 1997 shooter is now available to download on Steam and it’s free of charge. The game, which utilizes similar technology to 3D Realms’ Duke Nukem 3D, is jam-packed with violence and plenty of firepower.
The game was initially being offered for free for a limited time, but the generous folks at Devolver have announced via the game’s Twitter feed that it will be free-to-play “forever”. Be sure to download it and check it out because it’s lots of fun.
The Shadow Warrior reboot should be released for PC and next-gen consoles later this year or early next. We’ll see if we can get a closer look at it in a couple of weeks’ time at E3.
