For both, IOS and Android Sideswipe will take the competitive gameplay of Rocket League but reimagine it in 2D for fast-paced 2-minute matches.

The game will still feature robust customization set for your cars that Rocket league is known for. The game will also feature competitive ranks with an online ranking system.

While Psynonix did not reveal a ton more about the game it sounds like this is only the first glimpse into Sideswipe with more information being revealed over the coming months.

Rocket League Sideswipe will have a worldwide launch late this year, but starting today players in Australia and New Zealand will be able to join a limited-time Regional Alpha test via the Google Play Store.
