It’s been quite some time since we’ve had a substantial update on the latest Resident Evil game, Resident Evil: Village. Today, Capcom announced that there would be a Resident Evil Direct on January 21 at 5 pm EST.

Resident Evil Direct Slated For January 21

This Direct will be hosted by Brittney Brombacher from What’s Good Games and will feature a new trailer, first-ever gameplay, and lots more Resident Evil News.

You can see the announcement down below.

We haven’t seen anything from the game since Tokyo Game Show back in September, and many fans were starting to worry if the game had been delayed. While we don’t know any specifics yet, we will have to wait until next week to find out more.

Hopefully, this direct ends with a firm release date. According to Capcom's website, there will be some sort of beta test for Resident Evil Village. You can sign up for the closed beta here. The website states that more information about this will be given during the Direct, so stay tuned.

Of course, there are also other Resident Evil projects in the works like Netflix television shows and even a rumored Resident Evil 4 Remake. We can’t wait to find out more next week.
