Though we’re not exactly enjoying the longer than anticipated wait for Rayman Legends (since the game was delayed from its February release and turned into a multi-console title), producer Michel Ancel is using the delay to his benefit.
In an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, Ancel did voice his displeasure over the delay. “I wasn’t shocked, but it was really hard for us,” he said. “Of course, there are more important issues and problems in the world but we worked really hard to make something and were so involved, it was difficult for us and the fans.”
But the delay is now working in his favor. Ancel has stated that the extra time is being taken now to add 30 additional levels to the game as well as some new boss fights that will keep even the most agile players on their toes.
We’ll probably get a closer look at Rayman Legends this Summer at E3 and get a better idea of how it’ll work on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 without the use of a touchpad.
Rayman Legends is set to release this September.
