When the Ratchet and Clank games evolved for the PlayStation 3, many game critics felt that they had bumped up to the level of top-notch CG animated films. (You can throw me in with that group.) Now it looks like they’re actually getting their own.
Sony has announced this morning that a Ratchet and Clank feature film is in the works, a CG animated production that will be released in 2015. The film is being produced by Blockade Entertainment and Rainmaker Entertainment alongside developer Insomniac Games, who will be aiding its production. It sounds like the full voice cast from the game is on board, and Ratchet and Clank seris writer T.J. Fixman will return to write the screenplay.
The first teaser trailer is available for viewing here and is a hoot as always, with Quark giving the writers a hard time – and dearly paying the price.
And you thought the Thor: The Dark World trailer was something…
