PSA: You Can Actually Buy Penny’s Eevee Backpack from Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

The most important news of the year.

The first time we saw Penny’s Eevee backpack in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, we literally thought, “I need this,” and rushed to Google to see if it was a real thing we could drop money on. It wasn’t… Until now, that is. Released as part of the Pokemon Trainers Paldea line, Japanese fans can purchase a real-life replica of the character’s bag from Pokemon Center Japan. And it’s SO CUTE.

How Much Does the Eevee Backpack Cost?

The Eevee backpack costs ï¿¥6,930 (just over $47 USD/£38), though you can expect to pay a little more than that if you’re planning on importing it like we are. There’s no word on a release in the West yet (boo), though it’s likely we could see this on the US Pokemon Center in the future as The Pokemon Company has been slowly drip-feeding Japan-exclusive products there over the past few months. Yes, we could wait and see, but we’re incredibly impatient.

Where Else to Buy Penny’s Eevee Backpack

Penny’s Eevee backpack may not be available in the West (yet), and Pokemon Center Japan isn’t easy to buy from internationally, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get the bag for yourself. Here are a few sites you can check out if you want this iconic style in your life. Just be warned, you may run into expensive prices.

  • Etsy: You may be able to find the Pokemon Center backpack from resellers here, or even a cheaper alternative from some crafty individuals.
  • Ebay: The one-stop shop for collectables. You’ll be sure to find Penny’s Eevee backpack on Ebay, but the prices might make your eyes water.
  • Mercari: An Ebay-like website you may or may not have better luck with.
  • Meccha Japan: A great go-to shop for Japanese-exclusive collectables. They often have all the Japanese-exclusive Pokemon Center items for prices that are relatively fair compared to resellers on Ebay.

Other Pokemon Trainers Paldea Line Merchandise

Other iconic items from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet in the Pokemon Trainers Paldea line include Iono’s bow, Iono’s Magnemite headband, and Rika’s black gloves. There are also acrylic stands and mascot plushies of various characters, most importantly Glaseado Mountain Gym Leader Grusha, which, let’s be honest, we all need in our lives. He’s a total babe.

You can head over to the Memories of Paldea website to view the full lineup of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet products. Just a warning, though: you’ll probably want to buy everything like we do. Let’s hope you have more willpower than us!
