Prey VR Game Leaks for PlayStation

Would you be down for a Prey VR adventure, because it looks like one could be coming to PSVR soon!

While it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting a Prey 2 anytime soon due to Bethesda’s decision to scrap a sequel for the time being, it looks like the Prey adventures might not be quite over yet. A new leak from a retailer suggests that a Prey VR game is on the way for PlayStation 4, making it another title added to the growing PSVR lineup.

The Prey VR leak comes by way of the retailer Shopto and while the original post has since been taken down, the Internet is forever and a screenshot was grabbed by @Nibellion:

Bethesda has made no mention about a Prey VR experience being in the works, though the company does have a few surprises to announce during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Games Fest event going on now over the next several weeks. Could we be seeing a Prey VR reveal? It’s possible but it’s also important to take all leaks and rumors with a grain of salt until the studios behind these adventures make an official announcement.

Given the success that Skryim and Fallout VR experiences have had on the PSVR platform, it wouldn’t be a totally shocking move to make a Prey jump as well, especially when looking at the game’s mechanics regarding environmental interaction. If this does see fruition, it will likely be handled in the same way that Skyrim was: a VR port of the original game, not necessarily a new title in itself.

Prey: Typhon Hunter also gave VR fans a glimpse at how this franchise would handle in a Virtual Reality setting, so it seems like the studio is poised to perfection when it comes to invading the VR space. While not confirmed at this time, if this is true it is likely we will have an official announcement within the month of June.
