This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Rocket villains, new badges, and more content are on the way thanks to a recent Pokemon GO leak. The latest discovery from dataminers reveals Giovanni, Rocket Executives, a new Giovanni badge, and more. Keep in mind that this is a datamine from a hidden grandmaster file within the mobile game and has not been confirmed by Niantic at this time.

Thanks to the folks over at Pokemon GO Hub, we’ve got a look at what’s on the way for the popular mobile cache game. From the look of the files seen below, it looks like Giovanni’s character code has been added, including invasion plans and a special intro:

According to the site, the new character inclusion also comes with a new badge with the below three target levels:

  • Defeat Giovanni once
  • Defeat Giovanni five times
  • Defeat Giovanni twenty times

The leak also states that Giovanni is joined by Arlo, Sierra, and Cliff with their respective game file names with Arlo listed as Fire, Sierra as Flying, and Cliff and Water. The leaker did mention that those could be temporary placeholders, though that is where each addition stands in the current game files.

New Grunts and Decoys are also on the way, including the following:

  • Decoy Male Female Grunts
  • Electric Male and Female Grunts
  • Ghost Male and Female Grunts

We don’t have an exact release date at this time, though Pokemon GO pre-update is available now on Android and Apple devices.
