While the PlayStation Vita is finally seeing its lion’s share of great games, it’s still taking some time for the gaming public to take grasp of the system.

Case in point – it’s been reported by Sony that the PS Vita has finally just sold over one million units in Japan.  That’s good news for an install base, but the fact that the system has been out for almost a year now over there means that things are a little more slow-going than Sony would like.

Compared to how the PSP performed – it only took 14 weeks for it to sell over a million units – Sony has some work to do.  Luckily, some games are on the way that should help boost sales, including Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation (which we just went hands-on with) and Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified.  We shall see, shall we?
