Phantom Blade Zero is just a few weeks away from release on PC and PS5, and pre-orders are available on both platforms. While S-GAME has already revealed the bonuses included in the Deluxe Edition, the PlayStation Store listing on PS5 now displays all three outfits together, including the two exclusive to the more expensive edition.

Phantom Blade Zero’s Deluxe Edition Outfits

The Deluxe Edition of Phantom Blade Zero includes two exclusive outfits:

  • Blood-Steel Form
  • Wulin Legend

The promotional image showcases both Deluxe Edition outfits alongside Legacy, which is available as a pre-order bonus with either edition. The image currently appears on the PlayStation Store on PS5, but isn’t visible on Steam or the web-based PlayStation Store listing.

Blood-Steel Form Outfit

Blood-Steel Form received a dedicated trailer and was shown off during a boss fight against The Hunt. Here are a few screenshots from that trailer that give a closer look at the Deluxe Edition-exclusive outfit.

While it’s a detailed armor set, I don’t think it matches Phantom Blade Zero’s visual style. It has a futuristic, metallic quality that feels out of place, something that’s fairly common with Deluxe Edition outfits that look like they belong in entirely different games. Still, the set is visually consistent, and it reminds me of something straight out of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

Wulin Legend

Wulin Legend is the second outfit exclusive to the Deluxe Edition. It also comes with a dedicated hat accessory and, for my money, looks much better than Blood-Steel Form.

The outfit was previously shown alongside Legacy in promotional material when pre-orders went live. I do hope it gets a dedicated trailer as well.

The Deluxe Edition also includes several digital extras, which you can read about in our Phantom Blade Zero pre-order guide. However, if you’re primarily interested in gameplay, there’s no additional gameplay content exclusive to this edition. The main draw is the two outfits, so whether the upgrade is worth it ultimately comes down to how much you like their designs.
