Fans of Pac-Man, rejoice. You’re about to get your dot-chomping groove on once again.
Namco Bandai announced that it will release the long-awaited Steam edition of Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+ this coming Tuesday, September 25th, for the low price of $9.99. In addition, current owners of the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network versions of the game will be able to upgrade with the new All You Can Eat downloadable content on the same day, free of charge.
The pack provides a number of improvements over the previous game, including full leaderboard tweaks for fairness, a number of new medals to earn through challenges and several mild enhancements to the gameplay. In addition, four new maps will be included in the pack, along with skins based on such arcade classics as Rally-X and Dig-Dug, as well as one featuring characters from the animated series Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures. Namco has a game in the works for that franchise, coming later this year.
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX is available now for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
