For gamers who’ve been patiently awaiting the release of The Outer Worlds on Steam, we have some good news. On social media, Obsidian Entertainment announced the official release date for The Outer Worlds on Steam it’s only a few short weeks away.

Obsidian Entertainment announced today that The Outer Worlds will release on Steam on October 23. Previously, The Outer Worlds was only available on the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store for PC users.

Gamers who prefer to play their games on Steam have had to wait for a release date announcement like the one shared today. Fortunately, the wait is almost over as there are only two weeks left before The Outer Worlds becomes available on Steam.

You can find a listing for The Outer Worlds on Steam right now and while you can’t pre-purchase it yet, you can add the game to your wishlist to help remind you of the game’s release on October 23.

If you’re unfamiliar with The Outer Worlds, the description for the game reads as follows: 

“Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.”
