The first directive of the chapter is action packed and will require players to Clear a Path to the Carriage. This is done at first with the TS-23 Arc Induction Lance, but we’d advise players to pick up something that fires bullets, not bolts of lightning. Don’t get us wrong, it’s powerful, but lacks the mobility and versatility of other options.
Players would be wise to watch out for the advancing Rebel Shotgunner, as well as any Rebel Heavy or Rebel Grenadier soldiers that might be lurking about. Just stay behind cover, popping out and killing enemies one at a time. When there is room to move up, do so, stopping to collect any ammunition and grenades that might be laying around.
Tip: There are red barrels sitting in various places on the bridge. Don’t just shoot them to take out the bad guys, but also because Sir Galahad will be vulnerable if he takes cover near one.
When the bridge is clear of threats players will still need to Save Hastings, something that can be done by approaching the carriage and pressing the buttons indicated on the screen. It’s a short directive, and when it’s done Sir Galahad will push forward while the remaining Knights of the Round Table retreat.
The rest of the chapter involves more gun play like the bit before reaching the carriage, but this time Galahad won’t have any backup. He’s decided to Stop the Rebel Attack on his own, but there’s nothing here that players can’t handle. Just stick to cover and engage the targets at range, checking the storage buildings at the ends of the bridge for grenades and more ammunition. The only real threat will come in the form of a Rebel Heavy, but a game of peek-a-boo while popping shots off at this fool should put him down pretty quickly. Continue to move forward until the directive updates.
This directive takes place right in the middle of the gun battles that make up the bulk of this chapter, but eventually Galahad will be asked to Take Out the Artillery. Continue to fight forward on the bridge, looking up to a platform that contains a Rebel who’s packing a TS-29 Cannon. Kill this fool to trigger a short cut scene, then get ready for one of the more entertaining battles of the game.
Tip: Players can’t run out of ammunition for the TS-29 Cannon. Just kill absolutely everything.
With the TS-29 Cannon in hand, Eliminate the Remaining Rebels, starting with the ones on the right. The reason for this is because they can hit Galahad while he’s taking cover on the left side of the platform, and taking cover is a necessary part of this chapter.
With the Rebels on the right down, start laying waste to the advancing foes in the middle and the to the left. Try to focus on clusters at first, but with unlimited ammunition, make sure that everybody dies, especially those that are getting close to Galahad’s position. When the last of the Rebels are down the chapter will come to an end.
