Welcome to one of the easiest chapters of the entire game, although oddly enough it’s not actually the easiest, and not by a small margin. The first part is just some cut scene action that will introduce players to the Knights of the Round Table, after which they can get up and walk around. Once Sir Galahad has listened in on enough conversations, head out in the hallway for some more cut scenes.
When players gain control they will be given a directive to Follow Tesla, and a short time later the task will change and require them to Explore Tesla’s Lab. It’s here that players can find five Inspectable Items, three of which are laying about on tables, and two that are connected to upcoming directives.
We’d advise picking up the three non-directive based Inspectable Items first. They’re easy enough to find, and players should avoid approaching Nikola Telsa or the Sniper Rifle at the far end of the room. Those are the locations of the final two directives and Inspectable Items. The ones that are free game are the Flyer, Diagram and Communicator.
Tip: Inspectable Items will show up in the world as points of interest. It’s never a bad idea to investigate a point of interest, whether it comes in the form of a door, locked chest or even a collectible.
When the first three are out of the way, approach Tesla and Complete the TS-27 Tutorial. Pay close attention to the on-screen instructions, pressing both the L3 and R3 buttons down simultaneously to lock the moving mercury between the needles on either side of the device. When this is done the directive will be complete, leaving only one more to complete the chapter.
Move to the far end of room to interact with the Essex M84 Marksman Carbine and begin the directive that requires players to Complete the Sniper Rifle Tutorial. Use the left stick to move it around and take a good look, then follow the on-screen instructions to perform some of the basic actions, such as aiming down site, increasing the magnification and steadying Sir Galahad’s aim. It’s pretty standard stuff for anyone who’s played shooters in the past, but apparently this directive comes with a bit of a test, although we’re not sure if players actually have to be accurate.
Tip: Unlike most weapons, the Essex M84 Marksman Carbine can generally kill a target with one shot to the body. It’s not that deadly against every foe, but if there’s an opportunity to use this weapon at range, take it without hesitation.
Aim down the sight of the weapon using L2, then increase the magnification by pressing R3. Move the reticle over the bulls eye and press L3 to steady Galahad’s breathing, then start putting bullets into the target at will. We did this four or five times before the directive was replaced with a chapter ending cut scene.
