Online Petition Started For Wii U Edition of Dark Souls II

Because Nintendo system owners want to die multiple times, too!

This past week’s announcement of Dark Souls II at the Spike Video Game Awards have created a tremendous buzz on the Internet, but one group that is feeling left out is the Wii U owner base, as they feel their system would be perfect for the game’s release.

In fact, several folks have started up an online petition over at Change.org to encourage Namco to consider the system for a port sometime in 2013.  It’s only at 6,500+ signatures thus far (out of the 100,000 they’re seeking), but it’s a decent start, with the hopes that more will sign on in the months ahead.

Considering how most action games made a smooth transition to the Wii U with its release (like Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition and Darksiders II), we could easily see Dark Souls II fitting in with the system.  Still, that’s a lot of death to consider.  We’ll see how it goes in the weeks ahead.

Dark Souls II will release in 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
