The no HUD trick for taking photos in Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been patched out, press F to pay respects. The ability to take photos in this game has brought so much joy to this community with many options for adding some unique flair when sharing so many amazing islands. That being said, the fan-made content surrounding the game is what makes this iteration truly special but a new patch has many upset with recent changes.

For that that don't know about the trick to remove the HUD by pressing + with A when hovering above the camera app. This allowed players to record video clips without the HUD, making fan-created videos easier to do with less mess cluttering up the field of view. Chances are if you've enjoyed a New Horizons video, this trick was used, but Nintendo recently patched it out with the latest Summer update.

Needless to say, this move did not go over well with content creators:

While disappointing to some, it is technically a glitch and Nintendo is known for being very proactive when it comes to bugs in their game. That being said, people have been asking for a "hide UI" option since launch, so maybe they will see the disappointment and provide an update in the future to allow just that.
