Nintendo of Japan has pledged to fix the game saves of those who have encountered Zelda: Skyward Sword’s game-halting bug.

The company is rushing out a downloadable program for affected Wii owners to install on their consoles, a statement on Nintendo’s official site reads (translated by Andriasang).

Players without internet access for their Wii will have to send Nintendo an SD card with their game save on.

Failing that, Nintendo will also accept a player’s entire Wii console to work on.

Gamers will only encounter the quest-stopping glitch if they complete a very specific sequence of events late in the game.

Specifically, (spoilers ahead) the Song of the Hero Quest, the order in which it is attempted, and the NPC you chat to during said adventure.
