New The Witcher Netflix Series Photo Shows Off a Reunited Geralt and Roach

by Liana Ruppert

With a new trailer rumored to be dropping this week for The Witcher Netflix series during SDCC 2019, fans are eager to see how the upcoming show will stack up to the original source material of the books. The production crew showed off a plethora of new photos last month showing off a very convincing Geralt, and now we’ve got a new look this time with his trusty steed: Roach.

It has been confirmed that The Witcher Netflix series is crashing SDCC 2019 with a panel scheduled in Hall H on Friday, July 19 at 14:15 PT. The panel boasts an exciting roundtable including Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, and Anya Cholatra. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich will also be at the panel revealing tons more about the highly anticipated new show!

With a tagline of “The Witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts,” it’s hard not to be totally amped for the upcoming 8-episode long series! Fans are even warming up to the idea of Cavill as Geralt himself following numerous photos leaked of him on set and during his grueling training regime when getting in tip-top witcher shape.

The upcoming show stars Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill as the main protagonist himself, alongside Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold. The author of the books himself is also on board with the project, working as the creative consultant for Hissrich’s vision.
