New Valorant Teaser Shows Off Viper Dropping Poisonous Bombs

Viper is NOT to be messed with, got it.

Earlier this month, Riot Games revealed our first look at Valorant, their latest game that seems to combine the best of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch. We’ve learned about a few of the characters that first made their debut in the first trailer, and now we’re learning exactly how dangerous Viper is with an up-close-and-personal look at her abilities.

The video shows off her unique abilities including her Snakebite that fires out a literal pool of acid, her Poison Cloud that is essentially a badass poison bomb, her Toxic Screen gas wall, and her Ultimate: Viper’s Pit, which coats the entire area with a poisonous cloud, making it easy for her to take out enemy players while they are trapped and helpless.

The 5v5 character-based tactical shooter aims to challenge players to get in touch with their strategic creative side. According to the official Valorant website

“Imagine this: tactical shooter meets hypernatural powers. Everyone’s got guns and a unique set of abilities, so how do you beat someone with the speed of wind? Use your own moves to outplay them and beat them to the shot. Valorant is a game for bold strategists who dare to make the unexpected play, because if it wins, it works.”

The most immediate comparison Valorant is going up against is Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, though many Overwatch comparisons are also being made. With so many spin-off games, new updates for Legends, and more surprises on the way, it’ll be interesting to see what’s next for the folks over at Riot Games.

Valorant is expected to arrive sometime this Summer.
