How does one determine whether they’ve made it as both a Hollywood star and a self-described nerd? Well, having a custom Warhammer 2 character designed with you in mind certainly ticks those boxes! It has been revealed that Henry Cavill is the most recent subject of developer Creative Assembly’s affections, with the upcoming Total War: Warhammer 2 DLC ‘The Warden and The Paunch’ to feature a unique High Elf Loremaster unit chock-full of flavor text celebrating the Geralt of Rivia actor.

As reported by PCGamesN, the folks over at Creative Assembly decided to honor Henry Cavill and his well-documented love for the Warhammer series with his own custom character. Simply named ‘Cavill’, the Loremaster of Hoeth is available in the Total War: Warhammer 2 DLC The Warden and The Paunch by beginning the Vortex campaign as Eltharion.

The character’s stat breakdown naturally features plenty of Cavill-specific references such as ‘White Wolf’, which grants a +10 bonus vs large, an obvious nod to Cavill’s budding career as The Witcher. The ‘Potion of Toughness’ also acts as a natural reference to Geralt of Rivia’s self-made potions, while ‘Advocate’ gives the unit +3 untainted for local provinces. “Good ideas oft-times need vocal, public support to turn them into reality,” Cavill’s flavor-text reads, likely referencing Henry Cavill’s ongoing push to promote wholesome ways of passing the time during the ongoing pandemic, such as painting Warhammer miniatures.

Creative Assembly is by no means keeping quiet about the custom character, with game director Richard Aldridge recently issuing a statement regarding, well, both Cavills. “For me, I love nothing more than bringing the world of Warhammer to life, and like many of our fans I get a buzz out of playing with a new character or painting one of my minis at home,” Aldridge said to PCGamesN. “So when I saw a certain Mr. Cavill mentioned that he enjoys nothing more than firing up Total War: Warhammer or painting a few models in his spare time, I thought it would be fun to somehow inject him into the game, like we have with a number of developers of the years. You might even spot me. With the Warden and the Paunch coming up, it felt like a good time to include Henry, and what better way than having a mighty Loremaster of Hoeth by your side with a few personal special traits to play with when starting a campaign as Eltharion.”

For more Cavill goodness:

Henry Cavill has yet to respond to news about his custom character, though chances are his statement will be as wholesome as the man himself. Fans of Total War: Warhammer 2 needn’t wait too much longer to get their hands on Cavill, as the upcoming DLC is slated to release on May 21. The DLC is currently on sale for 10% off until its official release.
