Now that Joker has officially arrived and version 3.0.0 is now live for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it’s time to look ahead towards the future of the fighting game. And yes, that includes adorable Amiibo figures for players to collect and use to unlock special content in-game. For those with a penchant for Pichu, the latest addition to the Smash Amiibo line finally has a release date alongside the Pokemon Trainer and Isabelle.
The latest minatures will be available on July 26th and though not officially confirmed yet, it is suspected that they will run at the same price as other Amiibo in the same line running at $16. While we wait a few more months for the adorable interactable figures above, Nintendo did release Daisy, Young Link, and Ken earlier this month.
As for what else is new in the world of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the latest update is now live and brings with it stage building, video editing, and Persona’s Joker. Additionally, the Big N also included Smash World, which allows players to take their newly edited video creations and stages and share them with the world to use.
The latest in the fighter franchise is the biggest the series has ever seen and is getting better with each update. For those willing to join the fight, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
