New Genshin Leak Hints at Arlecchino Using One of the Weakest Weapons in the Game

Welcome back to Polearm Impact!

It’s no secret that out of all the weapons in Genshin Impact, the polearm leaves a little more to be desired when it comes to building a proper DPS. And for Arlecchino, a highly anticipated upcoming character, this may seem like a bit of a disappointment for some fans in the community. Rumored to be a sword-user for so long, this takes a big jump from having one of the best weapons in the game to one of the typically weaker weapons.

The polearm is meant to get out a lot of hits in a short amount of time, so the damage per hit tends to be weaker than average when compared to the sword or claymore. There also aren’t a lot of DPS polearm users in Genshin Impact with Hu Tao and perhaps Raiden being the exception. While the game does allow for flexibility by changing the weapon and artifacts, what comes down to a DPS and Support/Burst is the numbers that increase based on their leveling.

So for Arlecchino to be a polearm is quite surprising news and is leaving fans a bit mixed on what to think. At the end of the day, however, she is another Harbinger that Travelers will be able to play so her kit and personality may be what becomes the deciding factor for her banner.

Not much yet is confirmed about her kit except for speculation that, like most Fontaine characters, she will have techniques surrounding her Max HP. However, if she’s anything like Lyney, this is not indicative of how she should be built. There may still be hope for her kit if her Signature weapon turns out to be similar to Hu Tao’s Staff of Homa and Lyney’s The Great Magic which scales off Crit Damage but also boosts HP in its passive.

Another revelation from the leaks is little Melusine-Hybrid, Sigewinne who first debuted in the Overture Teaser: The Final Feast alongside Wriothesley. This little girl will be the first Four-Star Hydro Bow-User and will likely run either alongside Arlecchino’s banner or sometime within the same update as Arlecchino. Not much is known about her character aside from that she works as a nurse close to Wriothesley and, as a Melusine, has a strange form of appearing more like a human.

As leaks, all of this information isn’t set in stone since HoYoverse may make some changes between now and when they confirm the final release of these two characters. There’s still a lot that isn’t certain, the main detail is that it is unknown when Arlecchino and Sigewinne will actually release along the 4.X timeline. But be sure to keep checking back as we learn more about upcoming characters and future kits.
