New EA Studio Full Circle Formed to Work On Skate Franchise

Full Circle Studio is designed to develop the next game in the Skate series, which was announced back in June of 2020 at EA Play. This is the third EA Studio to join the Vancouver location alongside EA Sports and Respawn Entertainment.

Skate has been a long-requested franchise revival and after many years EA is finally bringing it back.

“The fans wished Skate back into existence and we want them to feel involved in the process from development to game launch and beyond. We want them to feel like they are a part of Full Circle,” said McCulloch when announcing the new studio today.

While it’s still unclear if this will be a true sequel to the franchise or a reboot, fans are still very excited to learn more. It sounds like it’s still going to be quite sometime before we see anything out of the studio.

When it was first announced in 2020, it was stated as being “In very early development,” and now we know why. Hopefully, this studio’s formation means a continued dedication to the Skate franchise and that this won’t just be a one and done scenario.
