After a leak earlier this month, a new Darksiders game reveal has officially been confirmed for E3 2019. Though the confirmation didn’t come in its usual form, the new game preview did go up live on the official E3 Coliseum website.

For those that don’t know, the E3 Coliseum is geared towards fans, allowing them a chance to get first looks at new titles while learning more behind the scenes from the developers themselves. Doritos Pope Geoff Keighley is also hosing and is the producer of this yearly showcase that aims to bring “videogame fans closer to their favorite games and creators.”

The news of the Darksiders reveal leaked just a little earlier than anticipated with the panel description reading, “a discussion about the inception of the Darksiders universe and where it’s headed next.” The listing continues by adding “This panel will coincide with the E3 2019 unveil of a brand new Darksiders game that takes the franchise in a fresh direction. This is a panel discussion about the art and the business of creating and maintaining an action-adventure franchise rich in-game and corporate lore.”

According to a previous leak, the new game will be called Darksiders Genesis. The fact that previous entries into the Darksiders franchise have been numerical, the name Genesis seems to suggest that this could be something else entirely – perhaps a spin-off or an alternate take. It will be interesting to see what THQ has up their sleeves, especially since it’s been confirmed that they have a whopping 50 unannounced titles currently in the works.

We’ll see soon enough, because E3 2019 is less than 10 days away!
