Ever since it was announced a few weeks ago, people have been anticipating the return of the Sega Genesis classic Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse. It’s redesigned for the modern gaming era and should have no problem finding an audience, between both old-school fans and younger players.
Today, Sega and Disney released a new video that goes behind the scenes on the game’s production. The original Castle of Illusion director Emiko Yamamoto and several others contribute their thoughts on the game’s redesign, as well as retaining that certain “magic” that made the original game click. There’s plenty of footage from the new version for good measure and it looks fantastic.
