New Borderlands 3 Trailer Is Pretty Much All About Claptrap

Claptrap is back and as annoying as ever as he presents Pandora

Claptrap presents Pandora in a brand new Borderlands 3 trailer after a pretty quiet month for the upcoming looter shooter. Though Claptrap has a new voice actor his character is definitely as adorably obnoxious as we remember and that familiarity is definitely evident in the Borderlands 3 trailer seen above.

For those that remember the original Borderlands Claptrap Web Series episodes, this is very reminiscent to that. The new video also gives us an awesome chance to see some familiar characters once more as well as new ones. We also get to see Claptrap’s cameraman once more found in Steve.

Hi, Steve!

The new Borderlands 3 trailer also, predictably, shows off more of Pandora – more specifically, its wildlife. From skags to traversing the rugged terrain, Pandora is as dangerous as we remember in the best way possible.

It’s good to see a new promotional tool for the game, especially after all of the drama concerning the original Claptrap voice actor earlier this year. You can catch up on all of that right here, but one more bad thing about that entire situation is that though Randy Pitchford was at fault for much of the exaggeration, those actions were affecting hundreds of hard-working devs working on this third project. To see the shift back into a more positive light bodes well for the coming release.

For more about the game itself:

“The original shooter-looter returns, packing bazillions of guns and an all-new mayhem-fueled adventure. Blast your way through new worlds and enemies as one of four brand new Vault Hunters, each with deep skill trees, abilities, and customization. Play solo or join with friends to take on insane enemies, collect loads of loot and save your home from the most ruthless cult leaders in the galaxy.”

Borderlands 3 comes out on September 13 Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
