Why You Should Get Borderlands 3 for 95% Off Right Now
That's a big discount!

It is time for Steam’s Summer Sale, and there are so many games to look into, if you don’t already have a long list of backlog of games to play. The sale lasts until July 10, 2025, and there’s one game you should absolutely try if you haven’t already – Borderlands 3.
Borderlands 3 is an iconic looter-shooter in the series, and with Borderlands 4 approaching in September 2025, it is nice to have that refresh with the series since it has been half a decade already. Borderlands 3 has a whopping 95% discount slashed off its $59.99 price tag, dropping it to $2.99.
Borderlands 3 Still Holds Up As One of the Best in the Series

While Borderlands 2 is still personally my favorite Borderlands game, Borderlands 3 delivered a lot of promise with its gun variety, improving the looter-shooter system into something more rewarding.
Since there’s a lot of randomization and potential combinations (procedural generation), you’ll sometimes get a combination of strong modifiers, other times you’ll get incredibly wacky ones that make you go “why is this even here” (but in a good way).
They also introduced new unique classes and catered some of them around co-op play, which is a big aspect of Borderlands 3. The trademark art style is still there with its signature tongue-in-cheek humor. Who could ever forget about Claptrap?
However, Borderlands 3’s biggest feature is its deep co-op gameplay, featuring progressive leveling with friends, a generous multiplayer looting system, several game modes like NG+, Mayhem Mode, and other events past the campaign. The game has several reasons to keep you playing outside the campaign. If you want more, there are even several DLCs to add and expand on the late-game replayability of the game, not included with the $2.99 price tag. If you want all these DLCs included, it is still on sale, but it’ll cost $24.80 (Ultimate Edition).
If you are going to play Borderlands 4 on September 12, 2025, you might want to try out Borderlands 3 to get a feel for the game. But don’t worry, you don’t have to play Borderlands 3 to fully experience Borderlands 4.
