Slowly but surely, fans of The Witcher are able to coble together details regarding the upcoming Netflix series that will be adapting the novels that birthed one of the most amazing RPG videogame franchises to-date. While we’re still waiting for an official trailer for the showrunner and her crew over at Netflix, dedicated fans are camped out waiting for new details to unfold. The latest fan findings? An inside look at the latest shooting location: Poland.
We hear whispers that the show will be filming in Poland. Things point to Ogrodzieniec Castle being a location. The castle might be a ruin, but it still is beautiful. – It looks like a Witcher home… 😏 #TheWitcher #Witcher https://t.co/cx9G2EhWF8 pic.twitter.com/58R2QVnOE2

For those interested in the upcoming show, the subreddit for the Netflix The Witcher series is alight with fresh new looks. The above castle seems to be the next big location, with sources saying that filming is going down right now within its walls. We’ve even got a shot of a few cast members in costume, though little can be gleaned from the first look:

We even have a small video of Anna Shaffer as Triss right outside of the above Ogrodzieniec castle:

With a tagline of “The Witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts,” it’s hard not to get excited about the upcoming adaptation. Though it will be centered around the books and not the games, it will be interesting at the very least to see the Man of Steel actor, Henry Cavill, as he steps into the role of none other than Geralt of Rivia himself.
We still don’t have a release date for when the new show will begin airing, though it is slated for a 2019 debut.
