Mortal Kombat 11 Director Teases Nightwolf As Next DLC Character

Did Ed Boon just drop a Nightwolf Mortal Kombat 11 teaser on us?
This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Mortal Kombat 11 fans lost their minds when Spawn was finally revealed to be making it into the Mortal Kombat-verse, which seemingly raised the limit to who could be joining the brutal fighting game. Both non-canon characters and returning faces alike, speculation is high as to who we will see next. If this latest teaser means what it most assuredly says, it looks like Nightwolf will be the next Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character to make its way into the game.

In the image above posted on Ed Boon’s Twitter account, that definitely looks to be Nightwolf’s axe, though the fighter himself is still veiled. With the caption, “And now a tase of things to kome…” Boon seems to be shirking vagueness altogether with his latest teaser.

Another cool thing about his teaser is that it bodes well for the release schedule of the upcoming DLC character pack. When the Shang Tsung DLC trailer dropped, Nightwolf’s name popped up immediately with Sindel and Spawn following suit. It looks like this could be the release order for the characters, or it could just be an alphabetical coincidence.

Given that the responding thread was all about Sidnel, it’s plain to see that lineup is an exciting one for long-time fans – even if Mileena is still glaringly missing.

As for the game itself, Mortal Kombat 11 is now available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch players, with a Stadia version in development as well. Thoughts on the Nightwolf teaser for Mortal Kombat 11? Hit us up over on Twitter @PrimaGames
