Mortal Kombat 1 Launch Trailer Shows Off New Fatalities and More

You'll soon be able to test your might!

We’re just days away from NetherRealm Studios fighting game Mortal Kombat 1. To prepare for its launch, the studio posted a new trailer showing off some new content, which includes fatalities, mini-games, and more.

The trailer opens up with Liu Kang explaining how he’s destroyed the hourglass and has become the “keeper of time,” which allowed him to create a new timeline. As you get further in, we are given cutscenes on what we can expect from the campaign, which includes Sub-Zero and Scorpion fighting side by side as brothers, some of the cast members fighting, and even how the mini-games will play out.

Some mini-games will have you dodging a series of orbs coming toward you, breaking objects, or simply fighting someone while dodging attacks from creatures as you play. In addition, the trailer shows off a brutal fatality by Shang Tsung that was never seen before until now.

Mortal Kombat 1 is expected to drop later this week on September 14. It’ll be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
