The current Major League Baseball season may be over – with the San Francisco Giants on top, as they should be – but there’s a new one around the corner. And, with that, Sony is already swinging for the fences, as the company has officially announced MLB 13: The Show.
This latest addition to the current-gen baseball franchise will feature the same amazing graphics that you’ve come to expect from the sport, along with some great new additions that will bring out the most in baseball fans, including the All-New Playoff Mode. It’s currently slated for a March 5, 2013 release for both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
However, Sony needs some help when it comes to deciding a cover star. This January, fans will be able to vote in a Cover Campaign, deciding who will headline the game this time around. No word yet on the candidates, but it’d be nice to see some Rockies players in there. Just saying.
The game will also include a new beginner mode, where players new to the series can pick up on the mechanics right away and enjoy themselves.
