Ever since its announcement a few days back, Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection hype has been building feverishly with its fan base. It’s the essential collection of Solid Snake’s adventures, from his humble beginnings through his “old man” days in Metal Gear Solid 4.
Today, we learned a few more details from Konami about the collection, including when it’s coming out in Japan. The collection will feature a fancy case set-up, as you can see above, along with a 100-page art book that will feature the work of series artist Yoji Shinkawa.
It also features two discs of games, but both Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions aren’t on either. You’ll need to download them through the PlayStation Network via included voucher codes.
The Collection currently has a release date of July 11th for Japan and is slated to come out sometime this year for the U.S. and Europe as well. No word yet if we’ll be getting the special art book featured in this collection, but we can’t see why not.
