This guide will help you earn an S Rank in the [Total Stealth] Over the Fence mission in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, and includes a list of the mandatory and optional objectives available for this mission. Note that it is not necessary to complete all the objectives to earn an S Rank. Walkthrough

This mission is a repeat of the previous mission Over the Fence. However, this time you must complete the mission in total stealth. If you follow along with our guide, you should be able to pull this off in just a few minutes, earning you an easy S Rank rating.

Begin the mission by selecting a drop time of 1800 if possible, in order to move in the cover of darkness. From the starting location, begin riding D-Horse toward Wakh Sind Barracks. Your goal is to quickly extract the engineer without being detected.

Make your way toward a rock wall along the west side of Wakh Sind Barracks, just past a flag pole at the front of the area. Locate and climb up a crack in the rock wall using crack climbing. This will help you bypass a majority of the barracks.

Keep to the left side of the barracks and continue forward along some rocky outcroppings leading uphill. As you approach the next section of the barracks, move toward a building under construction on the far left. Locate a small staircase in the construction area just beside a large hole in the floor.

There will be a guard patrolling the staircase, so quietly descend the stairs and neutralize the guard with a stealth takedown. Head down into the lower level, and prepare to take down another guard near the center of the room.

After taking care of both guards, proceed into one of the small rooms on the right and unlock a red door. You will hear the target pleading for help as you get close. Once you open the red door, you will find the target lying on the ground inside.

Pick up the engineer and carry him out into the hallway, backtracking toward the staircase. Remember that hole in the floor near the staircase? You can position the engineer beneath the hole that is now in the ceiling, and use your Fulton Recovery Device to extract him through the hole, completing an optional objective.

When the target’s extraction is complete, retrace your steps back down the rocks to leave the area. Be careful not to get spotted by enemies in the barracks to your left, as you are still trying to complete this mission undetected. Sneak past the bridge and out to the front of the barracks.

Once you reach the road, you can call in your D-Horse and make a quick getaway. The mission will conclude after you have cleared the hot zone. Completing this mission with Perfect Stealth, No Kills, and a speedy completion time will earn you way more points than the 130,000 needed for an S Rank.
