Metal Gear Solid 4 is getting a patch that will incorporate Trophies into the game.

The update to the game was announced in an interview with Hideo Kojima in Japanese mag Famitsu (uncovered by Andriasang).
The trophies will work out of the box in a new budget release of the game in Japan this August, those who already own the game will be able to download a patch. There’s no word on when the patch will arrive but we’d probably hazard a guess as to a simultaneous release.
Hideo Kojima, daddy of the MGS series, also revealed that he’ll be putting on a Metal Gear Solid 25th Anniversary Event on August 30th in Tokyo this year. At the event he’ll be talking a little bit more about his new project, which is apparently a game that connects people.
